Walking enthusiasts from across the UK braved the wind, rain and tube strikes to be present at Ramblers Worldwide Holidays’ joint event with Andorra Turisme, which aimed to spotlight the tiny nation of Andorra.
The event, dubbed ‘A Taste Of Andorra’, was held at the National Geographic Store, in London’s Knightsbridge, on February 4. Speakers at the evening included Tony Lock, Joint MD of Ramblers Worldwide Holidays, Joaquim Tomas of Andorra Turisme and Ramblers Worldwide Holidays’ leader, Simon Cane. Together, these speakers aimed to give the walking enthusiasts in attendance an overview of the small Pyrenees principality, its history, its main sights and the type of terrain hikers heading there for a walking holiday might expect to find.
Also on offer were plenty of snacks and drinks, consumed at the back of the store whilst “the ramblers” in the audience traded ‘stories’ and tales of adventure”. A browse around the store was also in the cards for many of the guests, as were discussions with the representatives from all the companies and their staff in attendance!
The event also aimed to promote Ramblers Worldwide Holidays’ new Andorran programme, which offers a one- or two-week walking holiday around all the main locations within the principality, all from a home base of Encamp:http://www.ramblersholidays.co.uk/page/hiking-in-andorra
All the representatives present at this event deemed it a huge success, and hope for further partnerships in the near future! See all the pictures of this lovely evening on ourFacebook.
